Yuri Choufour is a Canadian nature & expedition photographer, who’s been fascinated with the natural world since early childhood. After obtaining a diploma in professional photography and an award for photojournalism in 2010, he sought out assisting opportunities with Art Wolfe Inc. and quickly found world travel & teaching photography to be some of his true callings.

Choufour is most driven to create images that cultivate a greater appreciation for the natural world. His photos are sold to galleries, tourism companies, and as fine art prints. Working as a photographer, photo instructor, and guide has brought Yuri to many of the world’s last truly wild places including: Antarctica, Svalbard, Greenland, East Africa, Great Bear Rainforest, Alaska, Patagonia, Galapagos Islands, Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, South Georgia Island, Falklands Islands, Iceland. When at home on Vancouver Island, he enjoys hiking, snowboarding & mountain biking.
